He WHAT?...

So... One of my roommates moved out today. And my other roommate and I can't really handle finding a roommate this quickly, and maybe paying for the additional room ourselves. Not to mention all the bills were under his name and blah blah blah...

So...

I have to move out by April 1st. One month of school homeless.

Hahah, I kid. I'll find a place somehow, I'm a big boy. I'll manage. What I'm wondering however, is how many of you are dead serious about finding a place together?

Toni? Steph? Chelsea? I'd ask Sterling, but he doesn't use this blog...

I found a pretty cool place in Kerrisdale that opens up on May 1st, but that's the day that Toni comes back... The thing is, it's 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, is furnished, looks spacious, is near a #16 bus, and if we divided it 4 ways, rent would come out to less than $500 a person...

So I got bumped off the waitlist and we have a full table at AE this summer if you're all still interested in selling junk with me. The table is 8' long and it costs $50 and $35 for the badge needed to regrister for the table. Let me know if you want in on it :)

Okay folk, I know I haven't updated my blog in a zillion years and whatever, but I have a favour to ask of you guys back home!

What with talk of your project development class for the grad animation thingy, I am starting to wonder like hey, maybe I should be doing something like that while I'm over here as well? Or at least thinking about it. I am not even sure how far most people in the class have taken their ideas, whether it's just brainstorming or full-on storyboarding.

I've tried e-mailing Martin, but I haven't gotten a reply yet, so I can only assume that he has DIED. But it'd kind of be good to know, like, the extent of development and preparation I am expected to have in order to not be incredibly, incredibly behind.

If you guys know, or if you happen to bump into Martin's corpse at school, please satiate my curiosity. BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Anime Evolution June 12-14, 2009

Hey guys! For anyone that's still interested in getting passes and aritist alley table(s), registration for AE is up and is at $40 for all three days right now. The reg for tables was suppose to be up today, but the admin people are lazy bums I suppose QQ I'll try to keep on top of things and get on it once applications are released. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey guys! So after re-setting my password after being able to forget it in the space of a week, and after following all the links and terms and conditions and blah dee blah I finally managed to find my way here!

I guess I've been keeping in contact with a couple of you guys over facebook but this feels nicer, I like it here in this little corner of the internet, so I guess I'll let you all know here how it's been going here across the atlantic.

Well, Chelsea gave me a lowdown of her general schedual (i.e.: 5 animation assigmants, 2-way dialogues :O:O:O:O:O!!!) and I don't know whether to be envious or not. For the next three weeks I've to animate an 8-10 second sting for the eca grad show in June, attend one two-hour lecture once a week on the history of animation (including a talk on anime in week 4, woop woop!) a four hour life drawing class and... that's it. I feel rather redundant, I have more free time than I know what to do with and no Darran-like tutors to fill my little head with fantastic animation knowledge. Granted I've lots of time to hang out with my friends here but I do kinda miss that desperately full schedual I had back at Emily Carr. And all you guys as well :(
Chelsea told me of the people in her colab group, it made me a wee bit sad cause I would love to have been in amongst you all for that :(

But its not all bad, the sting is fun to do and I have the time to enjoy doing it and at the end of the day its good to be home. Still, you guys gotta keep me in the loop, so we can compare footnotes and all that jazz! Oh and Toni, you gotta let me know how the deep south is treating you :P

Thats about all Ive got to update you guys with just now, you all have fun and dont stress too hard!
