Good morning, here is your toilet. Off of the pipe.

I didn't know my landlord could open my door while I napped to let in a plumber that would destroy my bathroom and set up a barricade in front of my room.

I wake up to that in front of my bedroom. It doesn't look like much but it was wet and gross around it and it was toilet water, so I didn't want to get closer..........

WHY NOW.

Anyway. That was just for Steph. Pics or it didn't happen.

WARNING, HIDEOUS COMPRESSION

http://vimeo.com/3933573
HEY GUYS here is the rendered image of the enchanted scene? any thoughts?

Monster/cloverfield scene

Here's an approximation of what the animation in the scene will look like

ALSO: Since there is no prior colour scheme for Sam, I made his undershirt white, his sweatervest olive green, and dark gray/black shoes. He wears khaki pants. If anyone likes this, I guess you can use this palette for now until we have a general consensus on what we like.

WIP

HERE IS MY WIP.

GOD. SO MUCH TO DO.

The girl isn't quite up to snuff, but I like the killer.

It sounds... a lot like your piano medley except less grand? I dunno. This has been a weird experience.

JUST A REMINDER EVERYONE THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE A RENDERED IMAGE OF YOUR SCENE FOR TOMORROW, THATS RIGHT, TOMORROW (and if need be you can work on finishing it for tuesday) AND THAT WE HAVE TO MEET MARTIN TOMORROW AS WELL- I DON'T HAVE THE SHEET HE HAS TO SIGN SO STEPH YOU GOTTA COME EARLY, LIKE, 11:30 EARLY.

mmmk?

question: who is taking the last scene? should we have a render of the last scene or just should we each just take the character from our scenes- do a polish drawing of that THEN put it on top of Sterling's theatre BG?

Melody 2: VFS Student Version

Uhhhh, here's another version of the melody that a student at VFS put together.

Is it just me or does it sound... Scottish?...

It seems like whoever does the melody puts their own personality into it. And it shows pretty strongly, hahah

Well, I'll keep squeezing out more melodies from people.

Backgrounds - Final look

These aren't the final backgrounds (hopefully) but this is how they will be layed out. They should give you an idea of how to frame your shots. If and when we make the final animation, ideally some of these will be remade for higher resolution and details. However, I like how watercolours work on these backgrounds. Should all of them be made in watercolour or just some? I understand that some of you may want to do your own backgrounds to fit the character of your scene, so post in the comments what your thoughts are.

ALSO: i added in the overlay of the tank from the "Cloverfield" scene just because of how badass it looks lolololo

-Sterling sparkleshark triple-D lagann xtreem

ALSO!

General
Suitable for viewing by persons of all ages. Occasional violence, swearing and coarse language, and the most innocent of sexually suggestive scenes and nudity, are permitted in this category.

In lieu of this, we can show the guns, tanks, etc as long as their use doesn't portray explicit violence. So as long as brendan's pistol or the tank doesn't fire, we should be good.

David's Key Pose test #1

Ok, here's my keypose test.

I had the runs yesterday (and on the B-Line too actually...) so I didn't go to school, and I thought I could go to school today, but my stomach is still gurgling... I'm not risking another pair of pants...

So here will be a link to my stuff.

Also. I just realized Darren will be reading this.

...Oh well.

BLAH. I was gonna talk to the design drawing teacher too to see if he got my email. He hasn't responded to me yet.

Enough of my shit (figuratively and literally!), here is the key pose... Kind of untimed.

pose to pose

Alright- so I did a bunch of pose sketches for the enchanted scene (so top to bottom) and the original sketch of her is at the top (bad scan, I know). Basically she reaches up for a bird, turns around, notices Argyle man in shock, then curiosity, then loving, then goes for a smootch AND WHAM-OH gets in the face (those poses I havn't done yet). So yeah, any feedback- let me know, otherwise there WILL be a completed pose/animation done for monday.

Vocal-less Melody Draft 1

HUZZAH

So I have my hands on the first draft of the instrumental track of the melody. This is vocal-less, so it might not sound too much like the melody Steph posted, YET. Since the melody Steph posted was the vocal track, we all assumed.

I hope you guys like it!

Gimme all yo' feedback!

BOUNCE BOUNCE

So I drew her how I'll probably draw her. Hurr she is. It'll look in a different style though, more similar to the ones I drew of the cheerleader and killer, but this is going to be the basis of how she looks. The Steph/David blend.
BALLIN'
also go check dis out if you want to get your draw on 2pm pacific vancouver standard time.
VANCITY DRAWAN GAEMS

Vancouver Here I Come (Again) ???

Sooooo, I've been deliberating, pretty much since the day I arrived back in Scotland, coming back to Vancouver in the summer for a visit! For two or three weeks maybe. Before I went ahead and booked any flights though, I was wondering when exactly everyone would be around in the area. I know we all live fantastic jetsetting lives and I'd hate to turn up and for no one to actually be around in Vancouver... So, I was thinking of coming mid to end of June, after the Annecy festival, or end of July/start of August depending on whether or not Carrie from second year animation is coming over to Edinburgh for exchange at that time.

Also, I was going to take a gamble and not book any official accomodation. Mainly because I'm sure my old flatmates would put me up, but also I thought it would be an interesting experience couch surfing for a few weeks, if people were willing to put me up...

Anyway, if anyone is interested in seeing me (*nervous laugh*) then let me know when you'll be around in the summer and I'll do my best to join you in beautiful Vancouver! :D

I am fail.

I KNOW. I'M SORRY GUYS.

As you may or may not know, D
avid doesn't have a key anymore, so that requires at least one person to stay at home. Sucks. And it makes me feel like a burden on eeeeveryone. But at least I am getting my own place VERY soon. (Speaking of which, I kinda wanna ask you for some help regarding moving, Steph... Paid dinners wherever you want, included...)

But it's not like I haven't been doing any
thing. I've been drawing a lot regarding characters that I should be drawing. I've thought about it and since the scenes were divided as Carmen - Action, Chels - Disney (I think?), Sterling - Monster, that left Mummy and Horror up. I thought I'd try out the Horror scene since I personally think Steph would pull off the Mummy scene much better.

I'm currently working on the voluptuous victim right now, but I have a couple of design ideas for our masked murderer. Tell me what you think.

There are two little doodles of him, one of them has a... different... kind of outfit. I gave him an apron and some dish washing gloves. I was kinda thinking like... scorned dishwasher at a restaurant kinda dealeo. The one on the right is just more of a typical, everyday murderer design, using Sterling's doodle as reference. Plain white tee and jeans probably. With hair that is just as practical. Anything to add? Anything to edit?

I am thinking maybe the fun outfit would leave the audience thinking "WTF?" too long, lingering on why he is wearing that. But who knows? Maybe the one on the right DOES get the point across in a more direct way? I dunno. You guys tell me!

MORE COMING SOONS.

OK EDIT EDIT UPDATE.
We agreed on cheerleader right?... right?...

I love everything

I just wanted to let you nerds know that I FOUND A BOX ADDRESSED TO ME IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY AND I BURNED IT UNDER THE SUSPICION OF MANTHRAX.

Oh god Scott Pilgrim oh my god oh god

(It's so shiny and filled with tragedy why has no one in Cornwall read it I need someone to weep at)

Also I am introducing my housepeoples to the various nommies! They have never heard of Pocky and that is ridiculous.

Also I kiss the Dissidia can before I go to sleep at night. No, I really don't, but it's so pretty I can't bring myself to use the potion in case I run into an inpromptu boss battle without a white mage to heal me.

I'm trying to figure out what kind of Cornwallian snacks would be appropriate to send back, but I think the roast squirrel potato chips have run out at the shop (No I'm not lying).

Seriously though I totally had a cryfest the night before that box arrived 'cause I missed everyone. And then I had a total cryfest today. I love you guys!

"OOOOOOHHHHH"

Alright- I think I've got some pretty polished lyrics here:

"OHHHHHHHHH
I'm from the BPCPA,
and we watch movies everyday,
and then we rate them R to G,
so you can watch them in BC.
We may not be well known to you,
but now its time you knew!
Our acronym again I'll say....
.... THE B-P-C-P-A!"

beauty.
